Efficient storage
Around 10.000 blood bottles are stored in and automatically dispensed from this refrigerator. The bottles are stored on mobile panels and are transported via a dispensing unit into a robot cell for removal. To achieve good use of space, a cart rotation system using 21 carts
was developed. These are used in rotation in the refrigerator. To combat maintenance effort and corrosion at the bearings, drylin® linear guides, igubal® rod end bearings, iglidur® plain bearings and igus® energy chains were exclusively used.
