  • Pressed into the hole, the good side of the plug gauge must pass the bearing smoothly
  • With a slide tester, it should be ensured that the inner diameter of the bearing must be within the specified tolerance on average at the measuring planes (see diagram opposite)

Gluing in plain bearings

Important: Prepare bonding surfaces well

  • Dirt, rust and other foreign matter must be removed from the surfaces to be bonded.
  • Lightly roughen surfaces by sanding.
  • Thoroughly degrease the surfaces to be bonded, e.g. with alcohol, nitro thinner or acetone.
  • Then allow the bonded areas to dry thoroughly.
