An igubal® spherical calotte has been installed in the wobble plate of a counter-running Birotor drone. The “FSS3 Drone” is controlled by two helicopter rotors and the wobble plate is directly mounted on the mast, making this drone quite special. All parts need to operate at different temperatures, during humidity, and under heavy loads. Installation of the calotte is innovative for several reasons: It has been optimized for the level of weight and uses one only component.
