A braiding machine is used for the production of blank copper wires: Wire grommets are mounted on a moving carrier that rotates around the machine table and builds the copper wire braiding. Ceramic parts have been used thus far, which caused damage or even breakage of the thin (Ø 0,05 mm) wire due to friction. Doup thread guides could not solve the problem either. Now iglidur® plain bearings are used which eliminate the “steel to steel connection” and thus allow a frictionless movement of the machine. This additionally increases the quality of the product.
